Let’s talk about something that most of us are surrounded by every single day… but rarely think about: EMFs.

You’ve probably heard the term before—EMF stands for electromagnetic fields—but what does that actually mean? Simply put, EMFs are invisible areas of energy, often referred to as radiation, that are associated with the use of electrical power and various forms of technology.

They’re everywhere: from our cell phones and Wi-Fi routers to the microwave and yes, even the baby monitor in the nursery.

But here’s the thing—I’m not here to make you afraid of your smartphone or tell you to throw your Wi-Fi router out the window. Instead, my goal is to help you understand what EMFs are, where they commonly show up in your everyday life, and how we can make small, intentional shifts to reduce our exposure—especially in places like the bedroom, where your body does so much healing.

So, where are EMFs commonly found in your home?

Here are a few common sources:

  • Wi-Fi Routers – Constantly emitting a signal, even while you sleep.

  • Cell Phones & Tablets – Especially when kept close to your body or used right before bed.

  • Smart TVs, Smart Meters & Bluetooth Devices – All emit varying levels of radiation.

  • Microwaves & Appliances – Kitchen tools that many of us use every day.

  • Baby Monitors & Wireless Cameras – A surprising source in many homes.
